i don't understand moviegoers' fascination with pirates. the film earned $55 million on friday according to bom, which is the highest single-day box office take ever. critics nailed the film; it's rotten tomatoes cream-of-the-crop rating is 43 percent. i've never seen the original. you'll have to go to the 'yard for a local take. they should have titled it "POTC: treasure chest bowl."
