What the hell is wrong with all these Red Sox fans in the 510?
Last night's A's-Red Sox homestand opener at the Coliseum was a sick contest of blown opportunities, superhuman athleticism and sloppy fastballs.
And, of course, sloppy-ass drunks.
Personally, when I'm around Sox fans--or for that matter outnumbered by them--I need the security of, say, at least a six pack to wash out the red and gray and crap Varitek and Ortiz jerseys.
I needed a few more beers after Ortiz went yard in the first on a line-drive dong to right off Dan Haren, purported A's lockdown ace who gave up the goods on, you guessed it, a sloppy inside fastball on a 3-2 pitch.
The A's eventually pulled away, taking a 4-2 lead into the ninth before nutting it and going into extra innings.
But Chavez ripped a two-out dong in the bottom of the 12th and the A's took the V. I was back in Sac by 1:45am. Today SUCKS at work.
