Peru; tha one-three; above all others, indeed; Sunday RC; fav neighborhood to score weed?; vomit

Lima: I went to Peru in '05 and I can't even imagine the devastation caused by this quake. The whole city is built on sand, more or less, and the infrastructure is ridiculously volatile.

I hope my favourite movie theater in the whole world, El Cinematografo in Barranco neighborhood, is OK. I'm going to drop them an e-mail to see if all's good. The theater's so rad that if you ever go to Lima, you probably won't want to do anything 'cept kick it in the hot theater and watch revival films. I watched Eraserhead and Day for Night during a too hot afternoon, the strolled two blocks to the beach and fell into the cool Pacific Ocean. Shit, I need a vacation.

13: The news room at 13/31 is pretty cool.Their setup is unconventional and I dig the way they've got two broadcasts going at once. Nice peepz over there and they made me feel real calm, what with the sedatives, qualudes and Polish vodka in the green room ...

Soprattutto! New favorite Italian restaurant in Sac. Srsly. I had goat cheese ravioli: homemade pillows stuffed with chevre, Provencal-like herbs with a sage and butter sauce. The owners and employees are ridiculously nice, informative and accommodating without being intrusive. They also have takeout (deli, or salumeria) and desserts to go, too. Pretty much if you're going to spend the sprilla to eat out, you'd better go here first.

Humboldt County in the Sac: Roger's Record Club will have the Ian Fays on Sunday and a screening of Rural Rock & Roll, which was discussed on the Sac DIY earlier this week. Some renob did a little bit over at SN&R, too.
