Rove mobile; tools on the box; my fantasy, yo fantasy; fantasTy; in da record club
Wrap it in plastic: Did you see what those oh-so-clever staffers at the WH did to Karl Rove's car? Check it:According to the AP report, which incidentally is a bit too oh-by-the-way in its reporting, Rove has an "I love Barack Obama" bumper sticker, two stuffed-animal eagles on the trunk (above) and a stuffed-animal elephant on the hood.
Personally, I've always felt Rove was overrated. He didn't win the 2000 election, and Miss Heinz handed it over in '04.
Also, what do you think it means that Rove and Gonzalez are jumping ship. Do you think they want out before Lame Duck '08? Or is something else in the works ...
TV and radio and the black kettle: Personally, it's so lame for boneheads on the radio like the C. Dave to cut loose on poor Miss South Carolina. I know for a fact that a lot of these radio and TV personalities have have said shit tantamount in stupidity to her gaffe. Such an easy target, y'all. Gimme a break.
Also, take note that FFT scooped most of these pundits and blowhards by a weekend. Propz!
Fantasy: Here's my football team. The draft was last night. My theme: old school and injury prone:
Donovan McNabb
Reggie Wayne
Deion Branch
Darrell Jackson
Laurence Maroney
Edgerrin James
Dallas Clark
Fred Taylor
Ladell Betts
Dominic Rhodes
Chris Henry
Joey Harrington
Ted Ginn Jr.
Josh Brown
Baltimore Defense
Jason Taylor
Brian Urlacher
Lofa Tutupu
Contenda', not a pretenda'.
Bro's fantasy: Here's my bro Mike's team. Who had the better draft?
Drew Brees
Marvin Harrison
Andre Johnson
Mark Clayton
Stephen Jackson
Marshawn Lynch
Vernon Davis
Duece McCallister
Anthony Gonzalez
Vincent Jackson
Deven Hester
Leon Washington
Duante Culpepper
Michael Turner
Neil Rackers
Seattle Defense
Kirk Morrison
Julius Peppers
Namdi Asomugha
My take: Weak in the WRs, risky backup RB, weak defense, good subs. We'll see, but I think my team--though risky--is better.
Pasilla peppers, mmm: Can't. Stop. Roasting. And. Stuffing. Pasilla. Peppers. I'll take a photo of the final product, but here are the delicious poivrons.Six peppers for $1.25 at the Cesar Chavez Plaza farmers' market on Wednesdays. Soil Born Farms is there, too, and they have wicked heirloom tomatoes, though they're a bit pricey.
Bye bye RC: Is tonight the final Record Club? We'll see ...
