'Bittergate' and Leroy

First, I want to point out that there's some mad Leroy and Weird action going down here, at Leroy '08!

I'm not one for Bill Bradley but this piece on the roots of Sen. Barack Obama's "bitter" voters comment is pretty interesting. He quotes Steve Schmidt, political hack for McCain, senior adviser to Schwarzenegger '06 and Bush/Cheney '04, who accuses Obama of being elitist--of thinking he's better than the average American.

I'm not about to agree with Steve Schmidt, but after reading the excerpt from Obama's speech in San Francisco a couple weeks back, you get the impression he feels a bit high-horse.

Of course, Obama is a total bad ass because he came clean and flat-out, unconditionally apologized--something Bush or Clinton would never do. That's what has impressed me thus far about Obama: his refreshing candidness. As I wrote earlier this year, I don't think he's the change people think he is. Of course he's not. But am I coming around?

Hell no! What do you think of me, some kind of sucker ...
