HIking near Cool and Rancho Seco (and other grabs)
Weird walks about 50 yards ahead of you at all times whenever you hike. He's a leader ... or so he believes.
Tree (split by lightning) in the homestead of Olmstead Loop near Cool.
Weird in Cool.
Lot's of barbed wire on the cool hike. Good to keep ticks of your dog.
FFT and Weird.
Weird in Knickerbocker Creek on the Cool hike.
There's a 400-foot descent into the Auburn forest on the Olmstead Loop Trail that takes you to Knickerbocker Creek. The loop is dusty and hot so this creek is a welcome reprieve.
Narrow Olmstead Loop trail.
Magpie (?) in Cool.
Weird won't drink my vodka.
Howard Ranch Trail near Rancho Seco. Very dry; walk it in March.
Reactors in the distance.
That's Victor, a 20-year-old Boa. Awesome snake!
Weird gassed after the Cool hike.
Cool path.
Weird on the dock at the Rancho Seco lake.
Yup.
Ticks!
Ticks and reactors!
Sign blown to pieces.
Beggar pug.
Love me.
Weird in the nuclear lake at Seco.
He spent so long in the water ... Will he start glowing?
Weird is a cattle dog. This is just before he slipped through the barbed-wire fence and rousted them cows.
