This post from Hipster Runoff on alt couples has a couple loose Sacramento connections. First, there's Joanna Newsom, who's dating that dude from SNL that did the "Lazy Sunday" skit.

When I told JZ, who lives in LA, that Joanna is from Nevada City he got all confused as to how Nevada City was in California. Of course, the Lakers had just had their asses handed to him so he was in a fragile state of mind.

In this post there's also a grab of Devendra Barnhart, who records at the Hangar, and Natalie Portman.

There were lots of alt couples at the Witchdome show last night, most of whom are jholes who refused to throw in even a handful of bucks for the touring bands. Live music isn't free.
