Yummers mouthfeel

Burrito: I ate at the Mid-Town Taqueria last night. I had a veg burrito, which is pretty much the only veg option. Basically, if you're a veg, don't go here, although the burrito was serviceable. It was pricier than the ol' Jarritos at $4.80 but came with free chips and some OK salsa and pico de g. My friend Nicole had the carne asada which looked flavorful and she heaped a lot of praise on it. I tried the rice—good—and at the grilled green onions off her plate. My buddy Joe had a chicken tostada which looked plain but he liked it. They've got beer on tap and I think a pitcher is like $6.50 (Dos Equis; Tecate; Modelo, but not on tap).

The highlight of their menu, however, is the seafood plates, of which there are many (and I mean a lot—like an entire row). They also have main plates for about $6.50, which included the carne asada. The place is no frills but I guess if I have a chips and salsa jones I'll check it out. A lot of East Sac yups with kids in suped up baby carriages (some of which were like the Hummer limos of baby carriages—WTF).

Sometimes I feel like I need to move.

Crepe: I'm going to Michel Boch's new creperie for lunch. I'll post in the afternoon. Check out his Crepe Institute Web site for more info until then.

UPDATE! Wasn't open. Will open on Monday, he promises.
