Rextinct

Man, Michael Heller moves fast. They plowed over Rex Cycles Saturday morning, and the place was leveled by noon.
By 5pm, they'd packed Rex up and were hauling it down N Street to the freeway.

So now that Rex is gone, what's going up. What does the mind behind Marrrrrrrs have in store for Sacramento?

What will the fine diners of The Waterboy have the pleasure to gander at after sunset while nibbing on veal sweetbreads?

Are we placing bets?

Heller's known for unconventional retail? Maybe L'amour Shoppe's in search of new digs? Or Sakura? Perhaps Roma pizza? I'd go for a batting cage and a Belgian/specialty beer place. I remember someone writing in MM that Midtown needs an old-fashioned French Bistro, like maybe a clunkier, more affordable Bistro Jeanty?

Or why not a music venue? Not a bad zoning choice; Jacks is closed early, The Waterboy wouldn't necessarily be effected, you can frontload at Rubicon (or my apt) and hugging the rails always seemed like a good idea for a venue ...

I'm going to put a call in to Heller.
