FFT tells you how to raise your kids

puratinism masquerading as science—the family media guide analysis of the 2006 oscar best picture nominees is amusing. they've chosen munich as the film most likely to win best picture, the most violent film of the five. (have you seen munich? the violence is ridiculously gratuitous, like a roger corman film. how can the board justify their pick in light of the inoffensive capote or the pg-rated good night, and good luck?)

capote, by the way, is the film (by mean average) that should have been chosen as the least offensive; perhaps they didn't want to pick a film with a gay protagonist? alright: we've yet to verify whether either the media data corporation, the psvratings standards board or the family media guide have connections to the religious-right, michael jackson or the bush administration. but, let us assure you that whenever a puritanical element is involved, we here at FFT will sniff it out.
