the new face of product placement


in the new mission: impossible 3 film, tom cruise will ride around italy in a dhl van. presumably, there will be a plot point that justifies this tomfoolery, as if no other cars are available in rome or florence.
regardless, the german-based dhl company is not paying for the advertisement. instead, they offered logistics on the film (driving, shipping, etc...).
this is almost as bad as the fed-ex product placement in cast away. shameless.
