x factor: FFT live from the ncaa championships.

FFT coming at you live from the ncaa outdoor track and field championships at csus. right now, it's the end of the day and only two events remain: men's and women's 4 X 400 relay. the smart money is on xavier carter of lsu. if lsu wins the 4/400, it will be his third victory of the day.

i'd like to thank the ncaa for providing me with free wifi in the stadium for the last few days. mad propz.

as for teams, the smart money is on florida state. "it's pretty much over," my brother tells me. so ends bag on FFT's brother week.

the lsu women are cooking the 4/400 right now. their anchor has about 20 meters on second place and is just ripping it. lsu, miami, arkansas; 1,2,3 around the final turn. and that's how it ends. as a nearby fan just said of lsu: "they killed it."

men up next ... can carter take it? usc is the only cali team in the 4/400. oregon and washington round up the west coast. miss. state, lsu, tcu, baylor and indiana round out the competition. this is the last meet of the day--all the marbles.

auburn are the women's chapions, as was just announced.

i fell asleep at 6 p.m. last night and woke up this morning at 8 a.m. ahhhhh ...

ok, the men are on their stations. lsu is in lane 5. sc in 7. oregon in 3. they're on the block ... they're off!

lsu and tcu are one/two after two laps. baylor in third. oregon's in fourth. lsu is running away with it. here comes carter, the anchor ... he's got it. it's over. lsu wins. i'm out.
