it was reported on wednesday that fox filmed entertainment, a division of fox news corp., made a deal with walden media, the film company owned by billionaire philip anschutz (they produced 'pass the chronic (what) cles of narnia,' their biggest hit). now, fox will have a proven alternative to challenge disney in the kiddie market. what's disconcerting is the conservative-christian values and right-wing leanings of anschutz and murdoch's respective media outlets.
anschutz already owns regal cinemas, the largest theater chain in the united states.
