was friday, now saturday

i went to this house show on 22nd last night and checked out soiled mattress and the springs, a new-jazz trio from brooklyn, and no age from la. i was surprised by springs, three dudes playing keys, sax and drum. they were like modeski, martin and wood meets napoleon dynamite, and while the rough acoustics in the basement were a bit too much, they sounded great just outside in the backyard over a cigarette.
i met rick from art for spastics, who most definitely has his thumb on the scene. we talked about crazy folk driving all the way from seattle for the last operation: restore maximum freedom. o:rmf IV will be on the 7th of october.
i'm going to see luc besson produced bit this morning in about 10. it's an unofficial barnesyard/kiefer/FFT--oh shit, there's kiefer right now, walking in the door of temple.
gotta run ...
