"I'm Luigi, No. 1"; Dan Deacon photos
First off, I got no callback from Luigi's in so far as trying to figure out an ETA for the 20th Street spot being all ready. I'm thinking that, at the bare minimum, they're a good 45-60 days out. If you call or find anything, post a comment and let me know.
Dan Deacon played Fools last night. If you don't like holding hands in a circle, long monologues, trippy shit, dance-offs, Girl Talk and mashups and madness like that, you wouldn't have had a good time.
I took these quick grabs, but I'm sure Jyoti from MM's were better.
The best part was when he got all freaked by the cement ceiling and went off on how he was going to imagine it was an endless sky of cream, climbing forever and ever into the heavens. Deacon likes to push the treble, so he was upset about the highs during the show.
He also told about he went on tour with only cans of corn and beans and peanut butter, but his tour truck died and he was stuck at the Sac Greyhound station and didn't have luggage, but evidently you can have as many pants filled with shit as you want, so he stuffed a bunch of pants full of cans of food and tied the pant legs together into a giant faux-luggage piece.
