University Falls in the El Dorado Forest

Went on a hike to University Falls on Saturday. We had the place to ourselves, which was a rare treat. Takes about 1 hour, 10 minutes, to get to the trail head, which is near the "town" or Quintette. Once you start hiking, it's a good 3 miles down into the canyon till you get to the waterslides.

Didn't partake in any sliding, however, 'cause it was frigid. I know this 'cause AN dropped her sunglasses into one of the ponds and I went in after them. Weird fell in once, too, 'cause he does crazy stuff like this:The rocks are covered with algae, so be careful: I slipped and fell after taking this photo and almost ate it myself, thousand-dollar Nikon in tow.
